I completed this marathon commission painting of the "El" trestle that runs over nearby S. Wabash Street just
a few hours before the gala ribbon cutting ceremony on June 27th. It was at this intersection that the El
opened its historic station in 1896, only three years after the Chicago Athletic Association opened its doors in 1893.
The building was recently converted into a hotel. The painting is 16 feet long and 6 feet tall.
